The TNI 76th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony was held at the State Palace Jln. Veteran No. 17, Central Jakarta, the ceremony was led by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo was accompanied by the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, the National Police Chief and the Chief of Staff of the Forces.


In the mandate of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo (Inspector of Ceremony) expressed his highest appreciation to the ranks of the TNI, who have always been the main guardians of the nation's sovereignty, safeguarding the territorial integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

"And to protect the Indonesian people and all of Indonesia's bloodshed from all threats and disturbances," the President said in his remarks at the ceremony.

The success in handling the current Covid-19 pandemic, said the President, cannot be separated from the role of the TNI. On behalf of the people, nation and State of Indonesia, the President would like to congratulate the 76th anniversary of the Indonesian National Army.


The President said that until today, Indonesia is still in the shadow of the Covid-19 pandemic. If it is likened to a war, fighting the current Covid 19 virus is like a protracted war. The war was very draining energy, mind, mental and fighting spirit.

"A war that requires vigilance, speed, synergy, and the use of science and technology," said the President.


TNI soldiers always show professionalism in every assignment, individual abilities, unit capabilities, the use of science and technology including defense equipment has been used and deployed in carrying out each task given.

"I also ask for the alertness of the TNI to always be activated in the face of a wider spectrum of threats such as violations of sovereignty, theft of natural resources at sea, radicalism, terrorism, cyber threats and biological threats, including the threat of natural disasters," he concluded.
